Sharp has launched another device that extends its “3-side minimal bezel” design from the Aquos Crystal. Called the Aquos Zeta SH-03G, this device has a 5.5-inch screen at a height of 141 mm which less than Samsung Galaxy S6’s 5.1-inch for a height of 143.4 mm. It has a beautiful aluminium hexagonal shaped frame around the device which provides a better grip while handling the device.
Aquos Zeta SH-03G comes with a 5.5-inch FullHD (1080×1920) IGZO display and powered by a Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB is supported and a battery of 3,000mAh. Since it is a uni-body design, the battery isn’t user removable.
The smartphone has a 13.1MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, GR certified lens by Ricoh, the works. With this, you can shoot record setting slow-mo videos with 480p at 210fps, which can later interpolate to 2100fps. There is also a 2.1MP front-facing camera, DTS Dolby surround sound and a fingerprint scanner at the back. By this fingerprint scanner, one can unlock the device and also authenticate payments with the scanner. Connectivity of the device includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth.
The device is waterproof and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It measures 141 x 76 x 8.3 (mm) and weighs about 150 grams. Aquos Zeta available in the colours Red, White and Black. Though we can’t expect this to be launched outside of Japan, but we must remember that Sharp launched Aquos crystal in U.S through Sprint.
