Tutorial to Update SONY Xperia E with Official Firefox OS:
- Before proceeding, you need to unlock boot loader of your SONY Xperia E so as to remove any operator restrictions and also please note that once you do this, you will no more be able to receive the official updates from SONY as you will need to manually apply the update.
- Up next you need to Download the Flashtool for SONY Xperia. In your computer and install the same.
- Now, open the Flashtool in your computer and connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable. Now, Open Emma from the Start menu of your computer. And then turn Off your phone and disconnect the phone.
- Now, connect your phone again and connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and holding the flash key, you need to wait for a minute.
- Select the software you want to flash in the Service list. The tool automatically detects the phone model and lists available software versions, which are called Services in this flash tool. Click on “Apply Service” and then the flashing process of the device will start.
- Once the device is flashed successfully, you can then disconnect the device from phone and then you can use the same. Please note that since it’s the first time the device will boot, it might take longer time than expected.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
