Sony had announced the well powered Sony Xperia Mini, or the Xperia Z1 f Android phone as the mini version of the Xperia Z1 flagship device. But the Xperia Z1 f was specifically for the NTT DoCoMo network, and the international availability was not announced then. But now some press renders leaked online show that the international variant of the Xperia Z1 Mini is going to be called the Xperia Z1S and a photo was leaked recently, by one of the trusted sources – evleaks.
As the Docomo variant is going for sale from December, the announcement of the Z1S is expected to be somewhere around that time, and the specifications won’t be much different than what we saw with the Z1 f. If this makes an entry with some decent pricing, the Xperia Z1S would be one of the devices to look out for, as the specifications the Z1 f was announced with some excellent ones.
As for the Xperia Z1 f, these were the specifications that were included: a 4.3-inch HD display, with the 720p resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with the 2.2 GHz speed with four cores, running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, and there is a 2300 mAh battery included. There is even LTE support in the Xperia Z1 f, with the NTT DoCoMo network, thus that should be an exception with this variant, and the International variant might not be having the 4G LTE connectivity except in the US and UK ones. Camera wise, the Z1 f has packed in a 20.7-megapixel G Lens camera which its bigger version, the Xperia Z1 came with.
We’ll get to know more details very soon, as the press renders are already out and leaked, and Sony might not be waiting till December to make an announcement for this. The Xperia Z1 f is the only well powered Mini version of a smartphone that we got to see in the recent times, because the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini as well as the HTC One Mini were launched with very basic specifications.
