Sony Xperia Z2 Design

When it comes to design, there’s not much of a change when compared to the likes of Xperia Z1, but it comes with the 8.2mm of thickness along with the 5.2 inches of Full HD Screen. The best part is that this device retains the tone black with aluminum trim design. On the right hand side of the device, this device comes with the Power button, Volume rocker keys and also has the dedicated Camera shutter key which is otherwise available across all SONY smartphones of late. This device is dust resistant and also come with the IP 55 and IP 58 waterproof resistant standards. Not to forget, the design of this device is almost that of the monolith one. This device comes with the 8.2mm of thickness along with the weight of 158 grams which seems to be one of the lightest devices.

Sony Xperia Z2 Display

Xperia Z2 comes packed with the 5.2 inches of Full HD Screen with both, the Triluminous display technology and SONY’s proprietary X Reality engine from its Bravia TV for better color depiction. Undoubtedly, with features like X Reality and Triluminous display, display is not less than one of the best displays ever but we will compare this one with the latest flagship from Samsung which is Galaxy S5 which too comes with the stunning display.

Sony Xperia Z2 OS

Along with the Kitkat 4.4 Android OS, this device also comes with the on screen back and home + menu buttons along with the quick launcher icon located up front.  Powered with Qualcomm’s 2.3GHz of Snapdragon 801 processor, this device packs in a huge 3GB of RAM which is good enough to make the device fly. In terms of widgets, SONY has done a remarkable job as be it the SONY music unlimited, what’s new pane or the 5 different home screens.

In terms of battery, this device comes with the 3200mAH of battery life to keep the device up and running for not less than 10 – 12 hours with full on usage. Sony Xperia Z2 Camera

In terms of camera, it seems like SONY has made it further difficult for other competitors s it has the top notch lens along with the 20.7MP camera at the back which comes with the capability of capturing 4K videos and also has the 1/2.3-type Exmor RS CMOS image sensor and G Lens, with Sony’s BIONZ image processing engine. Though the front camera of 2.2MP might seem less with the 5MP or more offering by other smartphone makers, SONY’s 2.2MP seems pretty ok and won’t dishearten you. Camera comes with tons of modes to choose from, from 120fps slow motion recording to the support for Vine out of the box, the overall camera department is awesome.

Final Verdict

With almost similar design as that of Xperia Z1, it will be a tough choice for you to choose between Galaxy S5 and this SONY Xperia Z2 which comes with the stunning display and unmatched camera experience. Check out the other competitor devices that were showcased at the MWC 2014 event:
