Swipe Technologies recently launched the most affordable 4G-enabled smartphone called as Swipe Elite 2 priced at Rs. 4,666. Now, the company has launched a new smartphone designed especially for kids called as Swipe Junior. The smartphone is targeted at the kids in the age group of 5-15 years and is now available via various e-commerce website and is priced at Rs. 5,999.
The main highlight of the smartphone is the customized UI for kids. The smartphone also features geo-tracking and geo-fencing that helps the parents to track child’s movements and also lets them set safe and danger zone for kids. The app management system also allows the parents to block certain apps or limit the usage time for individual apps. It also comes with an SOS button that can be used for one-touch calling to a pre-defined contact.
Regarding specs, the Junior flaunts a 4.5-inch IPS display and comes powered by 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM. The device comes with 4GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion. The smartphone has single sim support and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports a 2MP rear camera with flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options on the device include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. Concentrating on the safety of the kids, the device also features shock proof and break protective casing. The handset comes backed by a 1900mAh battery that delivers upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 120 hours of standby time and is available in colors- Blue and Pink.
