TCL Pride T500L with 13MP Camera & Iris Scanner Launched in India at Rs. 10,499

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, TCL has today launched a new device in India called as TCL Pride T500L. The main highlight of the smartphone is it sports an Iris (retina) scanner that allows the users to unlock their handset after the front camera authenticates their retina. The company claims that Pride T500L is the first smartphone launched in India that comes with an Iris scanner. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 10,499 and is exclusively available online via Snapdeal.

Regarding specifications, the Pride T500L features a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 441ppi. Under the hood, it comes equipped with the Snapdragon 615 1.5GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.

On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and an 8MP front-facing fixed focus camera to capture crisp selfie images. Connectivity options on the dual sim capable device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.

The handset comes backed by a 3050mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is available in White color option. The Pride T500L with these specifications and advanced security function will be a good competitor for the likes of Moto G (3rd Gen), Xiaomi Mi4i, Micromax Canvas 5 and many other popular smartphones available in the similar price range in India.
