If you’re using Facebook for Android, you know every time you get a notification from Facebook, you get a notification sound. The sound can be annoying in the middle of the night or while you are working. If you don’t want those unwanted sounds, you can switch OFF the notification sound at any time from within the application’s settings.
Following are the Steps to Stop the Notification Sound
- Open the Facebook app on your smartphone.
- Tap on the icon in the top-right.
- Select the “App Settings” option.
- Uncheck the box next to “Sounds.”
Now you have successfully turned off the Facebook in-app sound on your smartphone.
