Procedure to Update LG P505 with Gingerbread 2.3 Firmware:
- First up you need to ensure that all the drivers have been installed successfully by downloading and installing the LG United Mobile Driver in your computer.
- After installing the drivers, you need to restart your computer so that all the tools are successfully installed in your computer.
- Up next, Download LG Mobile Support Tool in your computer and install the same by following the on screen instructions. This will only work on Windows 7, xp and Vista based computers.
- Connect your device to the computer with the help of USB Cable and then you will have to click on “Start Updating” as soon as the LG Mobile support tool opens up.
- Once the phone is turned ON, you will see that the device has been successfully updated successfully.
- You can check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where it should show the current firmware is Gingerbread 2.3 firmware. If there is any other version being shown then you need to apply the firmware so as to update the same.
