Procedure to Update Galaxy NOTE 8.0 with XXBMC9 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
- Download XXBMC9 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware for 5100 or XXBMC9 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware for 5110 and Odin Zip Package from here to your computer.
- Extract both the zip files in your computer and open Odin in your computer. Now, turn Off your Galaxy Note so that it can be entered in the Download Mode. Download Mode in Galaxy Note 8.0 can be entered by pressing the Volume Down rocker key + Menu Button and holding these both, press the power button at the same time.
- With the help of original USB cable, connect your Note 8.0 to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow / Green indicating that all the drivers are installed.
Note: By this time, ensure that antivirus software is disabled and also make sure that KIES too is closed.
- Click on “PDA” to select the tar file which you get after installation to click on “Start” for starting the process of firmware update.
- The process of firmware update should not take more than 5 minutes and once it’s done, the device will be rebooting automatically. Don’t disconnect the tablet from computer till you see the home screen. For booting the device, it may sometimes take more than 6 -7 minutes as sometimes it takes time in preparing the files.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
