- Once you give the path and click on the “Extract Files”, you will now be prompted to enter the password. The password which needs to be entered is the “androidadvices.com”. As soon as you extract successfully you will get the extracted contents as shown in the below screen shot. Just in case any file is missing then you will have to again download the whole firmware zip file from above link.
- Now, out of the extracted files you will now have to double click on the RUU File which is the executable file. Now, as soon as the RUU File is executed, all the content in the temporary folder or directory will be extracted successfully and then all you need to do is to just follow the onscreen instructions.
- The update will take up to 10 minutes, DO NOT interrupt the update process, make/receive phone calls, disconnect the phone from the PC, or press any buttons until the process has been completed.
- As soon as the update is finished, you will see that the device is restarted and there you go the device has now been successfully updated with the latest version of Gingerbread 2.3.
