Note: Since the firmware update has been updated, all the APN Settings will be cleared. So, to access all the data services / MMS / Internet, you will have to get the Internet settings from your Service provider.
New features / Enhancements in this update:
- With a new Gingerbread version you can now enjoy an all new fresh interface along with a new layout of all the home screen icons, which comes bundled with this version of Gingerbread. Apart from this, you can also enjoy a dedicated section of downloads in which all the downloads which are made from your phone are listed over at one place so that you can centrally manage all the downloads from that section.
- This new version also embeds the LED notification settings which are now correctly configured for all the notification alerts.
- Calendar application now displays all the schedulers accurately along with the correct notification settings which was the major bug which has been reported by most of the users.
- HTC Widgets are now a part of standard firmware update with which all the users who updates with this update can now benefit from the new set of widgets.
- Smart dialer is also included in this new firmware update along with the correct compass orientation with which the phone can detect all the locations correctly and also the location based services are improved with a new algorithm which is infused with this update.
- Some of the users reported the connectivity issues with connecting other devices via Wi Fi, USB and also with the Bluetooth. But not to worry any more as with an update this issue too is now stands solved.
- Now, the free RAM too is increased and it also releases more RAM to the users directly so that the phone becomes much faster as the RAM availability has been increased to the users so that apps can make use of it and also the start-up time has been marginally reduced by two points. The quadrant speeds have been substantially improved and also the user interface is now much speedier than before. This update is considered as the major update with almost all the fixes.
- Previously when you press the power button to turn your device off then the device used to switch off instantly but now you will get options like Power Off, Airplane mode as well as an added option called Restart now.
