Pre Requisites:
- All the data present in your phone may be precious and you would like to safeguard the same as in the process of this firmware update there is a possibility that the data in the device may get lost or corrupted. So with the help of below mentioned instructions you can easily backup or restore the data present in your device.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Minimum battery charge should be 70% to install this firmware so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t reach the level of 10% which is the minimum battery level.
- Enable the USB debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked. USB Debugging Mode can only be enabled once you disconnect the phone from computer. USB Debugging should be ticked.
Uninstall all the Antivirus applications if installed any in your device as these generally tend to interrupt the process of firmware update.
