How to Update Samsung Galaxy 551 I5510 to DDJK4 2.2 Asian Firmware

Steps to update Samsung Galaxy I5510 to DDJK4 Froyo 2.2 version:

    • Initially, download Galaxy I5510 Asian DDJK4 package file to your PC desktop. Once the package is downloaded, extract the files at the same location on desktop. In the process of extracting, you need to enter the password, so enter ‘androidadvices.com’ as a password, and extract all the files.

    • After extracting the files, check all the files to know whether they are properly extracted or not, from the above screenshot. In case of any missed file download the zip file again. Now, open the Odin tool from the extracted files and keep it ready for use.

    • Now, turn OFF your mobile and turn it ON again to enter into the downloading mode. To enter into the downloading mode, press Q + Power button simultaneously.
    • After your phone is downloading mode, connect your phone to PC using USB cable. Once you connect the phone to PC, the COM Port mapping block will be turned yellow indicating that all the necessary drivers have been installed successfully.

  • Now select the files as shown below.

    • After selecting the tar files exactly as shown above, click on ‘Start’ button to initiate the updating process. The updation process may take few minutes, so don’t interrupt the process in the middle otherwise you need to start the process again from the beginning. Once the process is completed, your phone restarts automatically indicating that the process of firmware update has completed successfully. So, now turn OFF the phone and ON it again to enter into the recovery mode. To enter into the recovery mode, press T + Power button simultaneously.
    • In the recovery mode, select the options like wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Cache partition to delete the cache files. These cache files will be generated in the process of updation to damage your applications on the phone. So, in order to avoid the damage we have to clear all the cache files as mentioned above. Now, reboot your phone using the option ‘reboot system now’ and enter the language preferences and Google account preferences.
