How to Update Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510 with XXKPB Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware

Procedure to Update Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware in Samsung Galaxy Pro:

  • Download Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware package from here to your computer. Once its downloaded, you now need to proceed to extract the same in your computer. For your convenience, we have NOT ADDED Password to the zip package.

  • After extracting, match all the extracted files from the above screen capture and then open the Odin in your computer.
  • After this, enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” after which you need to tick on the USB Debugging option as shown in the below screen capture.

  • Now, turn Off the phone so as to enter the device in the Download Mode. The download mode in Galaxy Pro can be entered by Pressing Q button and simultaneously press the Power button to turn the device ON in the download mode.
  • Once device enters in the download mode, you need to connect the phone to the computer with the help of USB cable and once you connect the phone, you will see that the ID : COM Section will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers are successfully installed and you are now ready to proceed to next step.

Odin for Galaxy PRO

  • In Odin, click on “OPS” and select the file named as “” and then tick mark on the “One Package”. Now click on “One Package” tab and select the file named as “B7510XXKPB_B7510XXKP3_B7510XXOXAKP4_HOME.tar.md5”.

  • Once the files are selected, you need to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take around 10 – 15 minutes for the update to get applied successfully.
  • Now you will have to wait till the phone is rebooted, as soon as the phone gets rebooted, you will then see that the phone will prompt you to enter the Language Settings as well as the Google Account Credentials.
  • To check on the firmware has successfully applied or not, you can check the same from the path “Applications > Settings > About Phone” where you will find the firmware version as Gingerbread 2.3.6 Gingerbread version.

Note: Just in case if you face any issues in the process of firmware update or if the process gets interrupted, you will then have to reapply the whole process of firmware update. Also, don’t forget to restore back the data which you have backed up so that you can easily use all the services like before your phone was in.
