Vertu, a premium smartphone brand, launched a new Signature Touch luxury smartphone. The new Signature Touch is an upgrade over the earlier released Signature Touch smartphone. The existing Signature Touch handset features a 5.2-inch 1080p display with 5th generation Sapphire Crystal protection and comes powered by Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM. The device has grade 5 titanium body encased in handcrafted leather and comes with gull-wing doors on the back that open to house the nanoSIM and microSD cards.
The latest Signature Touch also flaunts a 5.2-inch (1920*1080 pixels) display with 428ppi as pixel density, phosphor LED-powered LCD with 5th gen sapphire crystal protection. The device comes powered by Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB RAM. It has 64GB onboard storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 2TB.
It sports a 21MP Phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Vertu’s custom Image Signal Processor and camera application software by ArcSoft. On the front, it has 2.1MP shooter and also includes High-fidelity 13mm x 18mm loudspeakers with Dolby Digital Plus. On the connectivity front, it includes 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, microUSB port and NFC.
The main highlight of the Signature Touch is is the metal Gull-wing doors that are placed on either side of the rear camera with one side featuring a microSd card slot and other a sim card slot. The smartphone comes in eight different leather body variants, Jet Calf, Garnet Calf, Grape Lizard, Pure Jet Lizard, Jet Alligator, Pure Navy Alligator, Clous de Paris Alligator, and Pure Jet Red Gold, that can be personalised with engraving.
The smartphone comes packed with a 3160mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Vertu’s concierge UI out of the box, and its dimensions are 155 x 74 x 10.8 mm weighing around 225 grams. The new Signature Touch is a complete package offering premium looks and high-end specifications and is priced starting from GBP 6,500 up to GBP 13,700 (approximately Rs. 6.5 lakhs to Rs. 13.8 lakhs), depending on the choice of leather body cover.
