Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphone Mi 4, in India, today.The Xiaomi Mi 4 (16GB) has been priced Rs 19,999. Mi 4 will go on sale on February 10, and pre-registrations for the device will start at 6pm on January 28 through its e-commerce partner, Flipkart.Consumers will have to register for it ahead of the sale.
The Mi 4 sports the 5-inch full-HD display (1080×1920 pixels), Xiaomi has used a JDI OGS full lamination display. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz with a 330 Adreno GPU alongside 3GB of RAM. The smartphone will come in two storage variants 16 and 64GB.
Mi 4 runs on MiUI 6. The latest version of MiUI is coming to India with support for several devices even from other manufacturers. Xiaomi MiUI6 to come with these main features: Colour, Motion, Content, Customisation and Security.On MiUI 6 notifications are divided into important and unimportant. Messaging apps, social media will get priority over say game alerts.On MiUI 6, if you get a call while you are doing something else on the phone, it will show as a notification on top. MiUI 6 has several subtle yet delightful motion graphics throughout the UI.
There is a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera on the Xiaomi Mi 4, with both sporting Sony’s stacked CMOS sensors. The smartphone is backed by a 3080mAh Li-ion battery. Xiaomi also notes that the Mi 4 features a stainless steel metal frame which passes through “40 processes and 193 steps”.
