Update: 50,000 Xiaomi Note smartphones in Flipkart’s flash sale that started at 2pm today were sold out in 6 seconds. If you failed to order one, the next sale would happen on December 9, for which fresh registrations will begin at 6:00PM today.

Redmi Note will go on sale today on Flipkart from 2PM onwards. The smartphone has been priced at Rs.8,999. Over 50,000 units of the Redmi Note smartphone will be available for purchase to registered consumers from exclusive online retail partner Flipkart. Registration for today’s flash sale was open till yesterday midnight.

Xiaomi revealed the number of units set for sale via a Mi India Facebook post on Friday. Xiaomi had last week also announced that the first 5,000 Flipkart First consumers who register for Tuesday’s will get the Xiaomi Redmi Note added to their carts on Monday.If you failed to register, the next sale would happen on December 9, for which fresh registrations will begin at 6:00PM today.

Xiaomi has finally announced its most awaited smartphone in India. Yes, the Redmi Note has gone official today during company’s launch event in New Delhi. The device is priced surprisingly priced at INR 8,999 and will go on sale from December 2 on Flipkart’s website. The Indian variant of Redmi Note will come with Octa-core Mediatek SoC MT6592, clocking at 1.7 GHz with 2GB of RAM. It will be complimented by Mali-450 GPU. It will feature a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, which will have 267 PPI density.

Although, that’s not it, Hugo Barra also announced the 4G variant of Redmi Note, which will be priced at INR 9,999. It will be available in the second half of December.While Redmi Note 4G variant will come with Android Kitkat OS (MIUI 6), the original Redmi Note will be running on Android Jelly Bean. The 4G variant will be powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor.

The device comes with a 13MP rear camera with flash and 5MP front camera for selfies. It will have 3100mAh battery and faster charging support with 2A charger included in the box. As well as a screen protector and SIM card sleeve will be given for free, just like with Redmi 1S.

Registration for the first sale of Redmi Note will start from tomorrow, i.e. November 25. The users who register for the sale will get to purchase the Redmi Note on December 2. Considering the flash sales of Xiaomi’s products, it will going to quite a buzz this time too, as around 50,000 units of Redmi Note will be up for sale.

Earlier: The most awaited phablet, Xiaomi Redmi Note will be launched in India on 24th November in New Delhi. The Redmi Note will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart.

Xiaomi has announced its Redmi Note alongside its Mi3 and Redmi 1S in the event going on in Delhi. This Phablet will be available via Flipkart for Rs. 9999 and it was originally unveiled earlier this year in the month of March. Xiaomi is expanding its business in India and it will be opening 36 service centers in India with 1700 call center staff. This Chinese based company is well known for its different range of products and it is also releasing its 49 inch HD TV in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note will have a 5.5 inch IPS touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolutions and it is also based on OGS technology and 178 degree wide viewing angles. The device will be powered with 1.4 GHz / 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and 2 GB RAM. There is a 3200 mAh battery on the back of the device to power it.
