Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime with Snapdragon 410 SoC & 3100mAh battery Launched in India

After all the rumors, Xiaomi has officially launched a new mid-range smartphone called as Redmi Note Prime in India. As teased earlier, the Redmi Note Prime is available for sale exclusively online via Amazon and is priced at Rs. 8,499. It is worth mentioning that the Redmi Note Prime is a ‘Made in India‘ product and is only the second smartphone after the Redmi 2 Prime, that is Made in India by the company.

The Redmi Note Prime is the successor of Redmi Note 4G that launched earlier this year, and it comes with few upgraded specifications. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 267ppi. It comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB.

On the photographic section, the device sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with ISO, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it has a 5MP snapper with 28mm wide-angle lens to capture perfect selfie images. Connectivity options on the dual sim capable device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port with OTG support.

The device comes backed by a 3100mAh battery that the company claims can last upto 38 hours of talk time and upto 775 hours of standby time. It runs on older Android 4.4 KitKat based MiUi 7 out of the box. The dimensions of the handset measure 154 x 78.7 x 9.45 mm weighs around 185 grams and is available in White color variant.
