Xiaomi, a Chinese based company that is head-quartered in Beijing, is going to roll out its latest UI called as MIUI 7. Xiaomi is considered as Apple of China that has the majority of its market in Asia only. It is trying to expand its market globally, and it is already the world’s fourth-largest Smartphone manufacturer. Apart from the smartphones, the company is well known for making many other electronic devices like Smart TV’s, PowerBanks, fitness bands, Air purifiers, etc. under the brand name Mi.
This rollout will be global, and all the devices that are yet to be shipped will come out of the box with this MIUI build that’s going to be rolled out on 27th of October via OTA for the supported devices. The beta version has been available to the developers from about a month. This update will bring many new features like speeding up the system performance around 30 % and also extends the battery life by 10% as claimed by the company.
System UI themes are also included which you can download. Apart from these, tweaks like inclusion of kids mode, setting video as incoming alert for specific contacts & enhanced gallery with facial recognition.
The update will roll out to the devices like Mi 4i, Mi3, Redmi 2, Redmi Note Pro and Redmi 1S. You can also download the flashable ROM for supported devices from the MIUI official page. This update brings many improvements, but it’s still based on KitKat for a few devices. The inclusion of kids mode will be a plus point as it keeps the other private or important data safe from kids. There is no news regarding the update reaching the other Xiaomi devices, and we will get back to you as soon as we get a word on it.
