Update: The YU Yuphoria will be receiving official CyanogenMod nightly builds, which are constant system updates that fix bugs and introduce new features to the Operating System. While the YU Yuphoria runs Cyanogen OS 12, which is based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, flashing the CyanogenMod 12.1 nightly will bump the Android version to 5.1 Lollipop.
You can download the CM12.1 nightly build from CyanogenMod’s website. The build is called ‘lettuce,’ this is the code-name for the device.

Yu Televentures has launched “Yuphoria” smartphone in India, today. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone comes with a Metal Body. The Yu Yuphoria will be available via its first flash sale on May 28st, and customers can register for it on Amazon today starting at 5pm. The smartphone will be in two colors – sleek buffed steel with black & champagne gold with white.
Yuphoria’s back camera is centrally placed & inspired by the rings of Saturn; this design element will feature in all phones going forward.The device has a screen to body ratio of over 65%.
Yu Yuphoria features a 5.0 inch Full Lamination Technology, 1280 x 720 HD, TFT IPS, 16.7M Color with 294 PPI. The display protected by 3rd generation gorilla glass – 5x tougher and also scratch and fingerprint resistant. The smartphone notably also features Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity with up to 150Mbps download speeds and 50Mbps upload speeds, apart from Band 40 and Band 3 support.
It runs on a 64-bit 1.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Yu Yuphoria bears an 8-MP rear camera and a front-facing 5-megapixel, 4P lens, and an 86* Wide FOBWide Angle camera. The smartphone features dual-SIM support, with slots for Micro-SIM cards (4G+3G). The smartphone runs on CynogenMod 12 (Android 5.0.2) and also includes App Themer for additional customization for each app.
The Yuphoria comes with 16GB inbuilt storage and sports a 2230 mAh Li-Po battery. It gives 8hrs of music playback, 7hrs talk time & 160 hrs standby, and it charges in under 45 min.
The Yu Yuphoria measures 142.38×72.96×8.25 mm, weighs 143 g. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope.
