Today, the Chinese smartphone maker, ZTE has officially launched an entry-level smartphone in its Blade series called as ZTE Blade A1 in China. The main USP of the device is it comes with the same fingerprint sensor seen on the high-end ZTE Axon series that can unlock the smartphone in just 0.3 seconds. It will be available for purchase in Chinese markets starting from December 11 and costs mere 599 Yuan (approx $94).
Regarding specifications, the Blade A1 features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, it comes equipped with MediaTek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB. The device comes with hybrid SIM slot with dual sim dual standby support and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MiFavor 3.2 OS out of the box.
The smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front shooter for crazy selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. To recap, ZTE has recently launched a new all-metal mid-range smartphone called as ZTE Small Fresh 3 in China priced at $154. The Small Fresh 3 features a 5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6735 SoC, 2GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, 13MP main camera, 8MP selfie shooter, 4G-LTE connectivity and 2800mAh battery. The device also features a fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
