ZTE had launched the Nubia Z5S smartphone with all the high-end specs, but they didn’t want to keep the users guessing whether to opt for this 5-inch device, so the company came up with the ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini, the mini version which actually can’t be called a real smaller version, because the screen is just 0.3-inch smaller diagonally, with the 4.7-inch HD display. The best part about this smartphone is that you only see the difference in the screen size, because everything else internally is similar to the larger variant.
The ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini is powered internally by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which clocks at 2.3 GHz, and the GPU is Adreno 330. The multitasking is supported by 2GB RAM and the phone has a single storage variant, 16GB but there is an expandable storage with the MicroSD card which can take it to 32GB. The mini would run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the interface would be Mifavour UI 2.0.
Camera wise, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with the LED flash and the 1080p Full HD video recording and a front 5-megapixel camera. Similar to the 5-inch Nubia Z5S, the Mini weighs 120gm and is 7.6mm thick. The battery packed into the device has a capacity of 2000 mAh and the various connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Bluetooth and GPS/aGPS.
From the back side, the phone looks quite similar to the iPhone 5c from Apple, and there are some good color options to choose from – Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. This is going to be available for pre-order from November 26th and the price is 1499 Chinese Yuan for the 3G variant. An LTE version too would be available, for the price of 2345 Chinese Yuan.
