The popular Filipino-based mobile phone and electronics company, Cherry Mobile, has launched few interesting smartphones in the last couple of months and also offered the smartphones at affordable prices. Today, the brand has launched an entry-level smartphone called as Cherry Mobile Cubix Cube 3. The Cubix Cube 3 is the successor of Cubix Cube 2 that released in October last year, and it comes with few upgraded specifications. The smartphone will be available for sale online via Lazada and is priced at Php 4,999 (approx $105).
Talking the specifications, the Cubix Cube 3 flaunts a slightly smaller 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with 267ppi as pixel density when compared to the Cubix Cube 2 that features a 5.7-inch HD display. Under the hood, it packs 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and we can expect it to come powered by MediaTek MT6753 SoC clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.
The camera department is one of the major upgrades in the Cubix Cube 3 as it sports a 16MP rear camera with LED flash when compared to the Cubix Cube 2 that has a 13MP primary camera. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter for video calling and stunning selfie images. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
The handset powers a smaller 2700mAh removable battery that can easily last for an entire day when compared to the 3500mAh battery seen on its predecessor. The dimensions of the device measure 151 x 77 x 7.7 mm weighs around 160 grams and will come in Black, White, Gold and Rose Gold color variants.
