Google Plus Android App Review & Features

Google Plus LogoGoogle +, an all new social networking project straight from the Web giant Google Inc. sparked off a new war in the Social networking space after facebook as well as twitter were chugging along the un disputed path of the Social network. Though as of now the Google Plus is not disturbing the numbers of either or twitter or the facebook, its been seen as a potential threat to the other social networking platforms. For most of us who has managed to get the invites might see that there are lot of new terminologies have been used in the Google + just to ensure that the facebook is not exactly replicated. So, in the due course of this article we will see on what are the things this Google Plus application comes along as it has even got a dedicated Android application in the name of Google +. After Orkut, the Google Plus is the second second social networking project.

With the help of the Google Plus, the sharing will become much more efficient and simple as it will even eliminate the purpose of the famous messenger, Whats App as the Google Plus comes with the similar messaging system in place which makes this possible. So, after downloading and installing the Google Plus application from the Android Market Place on your Android smart phone, you will find that there will be 5 options in all which are Stream, Huddle, Photos, Profile and also Circles. Also, there are some other terminologies which are used in the Google Plus which we will be seeing it in the due course of this article. As of now to get into the Google Plus, you will have to get an invitation but soon this project will turn into public after which all of the users can go ahead and try out the same.

Google Plus Home Screen

Stream : Stream is basically a place where you can have all your conversation at one place, this one just corresponds to the Wall in the facebook. This basically showcases all the content which is either shared by you or your other fellow Google Plus mates. You can see all the pictures, links, videos, location markers along with the text posts on this screen. So, next time whenever you want to say something or wish to convey the  message in public then its got to be “Stream” which is nothing but an equivalent of “Wall” in facebook.

Google Plus Stream

Huddle: Huddle too is an all new terminology which has made its place in the Social networking. Huddle is just like a text based conference system where in a set of people can be added and conversation can be started. Lets say suppose you along with your friends wants to decide on which movie you all wish to go, then this Conversation huddle can help you out as it provides a perfect platform for all your discussions. This feature is something new and is almost equivalent or a better version of the facebook groups. You can also call it as a group chat facility.

Google Plus Huddle

Photos: Sharing of the Photos is much more easier and convenient as with the help of the “Photos” option in the Google Plus have four different categories which are “From your Circles”, “Photos of you”, “Your Albums” and also “From your Phone”. With the help of these 4 options, you will be easily able to share all your photos in the Google Plus as it integrates all your photos at one place. Though this might also include the photos which are private, but from the Settings option you can easily choose on which photos you wish to share.

Google Plus Photos

Circles: Google + Circles helps you to organize the social connections and helps you to manage people by labelling or categorizing the genre of people like “family”, “work”, “friends”, “music buddies” and also like “alumini” which helps you to share the relevant content with that particular genre of people. If suppose you want to spread the news about the your engagement then you can share the same with your friends and family circles. The Google Circles was previously launched as a standalone service but is now merged in the Google Plus and is now an integral part of the same.

Google Plus CirclesSo, to download this application on your Android smart phone, you can scan the below QR Code to download this application to your Android Phone from Android Market Place directly. Do share the email address of you in the comments section as we will try to send you the invites to as many as of you. Do let us know if you face any issues or wanted to know on anything which is related to the Google Plus as we will ensure that you are updated with all the latest on the Google Plus here only at AndroidAdvices.

I have asked with a stream post and it’s been a few day’s since asking my question. There have been some really nice people who have given a few ideas although the answer is still not clear.

Many times I would start google+ on my sensation 4G and there would be very visible vertical lines in the background behind the icons. Yes, there are very faint lines on this screen all the time, although this is not what I’m referring to. Others have said it’s there when you have notifications. I’ve done some tests and the lines or lines are either there or not there regardless of my notification status. has anyone else noticed this? maybe it’s just the way my phone shows the background at times? I have some screen captures in my stream.

Any help or information would be appreciated.

HTC evo rejects google plus install. Not enough room it says. I have deleted several apps and made far more room than it says it needs. Still no luck.
