Low-End Intex Aqua Freedom with 5″ HD Display & 3000mAh Battery Launched

The domestic smartphone maker, Intex has today launched a low-end smartphone in its Aqua series called as Intex Aqua Freedom. The smartphone priced at Rs. 5,790 comes in White and Black color options. The device is currently listed on the company’s official website and is expected to go on sale soon in the country via all the leading online and offline platforms. The Aqua Freedom comes with impressive entry-level specifications backed by a long-lasting battery. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI out of the box.

Regarding specifications, the Aqua Freedom features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering 294ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes equipped with MediaTek MT6580 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. It comes with 8GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 32GB.

On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, f/2.8 aperture, and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. The handset powers a 3000mAh battery that the claims can offer upto 12 hours of talk time and upto 300 hours of standby time. Like other Intex devices, the Aqua Freedom also comes with many bloatware apps that occupy most of the storage space. The dimensions of the handset measure 144.4 x 72.5 x 8.65 mm and weighs around 150 grams. The only downside of the smartphone is it lacks the 4G-LTE support that is offered by recently launched Phicomm Energy 2 E670 & Infocus Bingo 21.

To recap, Intex has recently launched two new affordable 4G-LTE enabled smartphones called as Intex Aqua Raze & Aqua Wing priced at Rs. 4,599 and Rs. 5,199 respectively. The Aqua Raze features 4.5-inch FWVGA display, MediaTek MT6735M SoC, 1GB RAM, 5MP camera, 4G-LTE support, 1800mAh battery and also comes pre-loaded with ZaZa Remote that acts as universal remote to control home appliances. On the other hand, the Aqua Wing comes with 4-inch WVGA display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, MediaTek MT6735M SoC, 4G-LTE and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
