Earlier, we exclusively reported about Alcatel Idol series smartphones called as Alcatel Idol 4 and Alcatel Idol 4S spotted on the company’s support site revealing the complete specifications. Now, the next-generation Alcatel OneTouch Pop series smartphones dubbed as Alcatel OneTouch Pop 4, Pop 4 Plus and Pop 4S have leaked online with revealing few key specifications. The unannounced Pop series smartphones will be launched alongside the Idol series and is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2016 event to be held in Barcelona.
Let’s talk about the smartphones in detail:
Alcatel OneTouch Pop 4S
The OneTouch Pop 4S is the best among all the devices and comes with premium specifications. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display offering 403ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top for protection. Under the hood, it will come powered by powerful 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with Mali-T860 GPU. It will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32Gb of built-in storage and there is no information about the inclusion of microSD card slot.
On the camera section, the smartphone will feature a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED flash and an 8MP front shooter for selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. The device supports dual sim dual standby and will run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is expected to come backed by a 2960mAH battery and will also feature premium looks.
Alcatel OneTouch Pop 4 Plus
The OneTouch Pop 4 Plus is the budget device and comes with decent mid-range specifications. The smartphone features 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display with 267ppi as pixel density and packs Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz clubbed with Adreno 304 GPU. It supports dual sim dual standby and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It has 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and will also include a microSD card slot for further expansion. The smartphone will feature a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfie lovers. It supports 4G-LTE connectivity and will come backed by a 2500mAh battery.
Alcatel OneTouch Pop 4
The OneTouch Pop 4 is the most basic among all the devices and will come with all entry-level specifications. The smartphone will feature 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 210 1.1GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP primary camera, 5MP selfie snapper, 4G-LTE support, 2500mAh battery and will run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
