The Android 6.0 Marshmallow version was recently announced, on Google’s developer site. The third and final version of the Android M developer preview has also been made available for Nexus devices, but which other devices will get the Android Marshmallow update, and when?

Google Nexus Android M Update
Google’s Nexus devices will naturally be the first to get Android M. One of their biggest selling points is quick updates and stock versions of Android.
There’s every chance Google will launch one or more new Nexus devices to showcase Android M, with Huawei rumoured to be behind one of them, so expect any new Nexus device this year to ship with it.

Samsung Phones To Get Android M Update
It seems that a large number of Samsung Galaxy devices are set to receive Android M update. Samsung has not yet confirmed on its update schedule, but some sources claim that they have an ‘official’ list of Samsung devices due to be updated to Android Marshmallow by the end of the year.

Sony Phones To Get Android M Update
Sony hasn’t officially confirmed the list of devices to receive Android M update. But the Japanese company has listed various Xperia models that will support the Android M Developer Preview.

Slightly older devices like the Sony Xperia Z2 and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact will probably get it too. We’re less optimistic about anything earlier than that, but you never know, the Sony Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z have both been upgraded to Android Lollipop after all.
LG Phones To Get Android M Update
There is no official word on the LG marshmallow update, But the devices that are likely to Android marshmallow update are:
LG G2, G2 Pro, G Flex are other devices that may receive Android M update, but nothing is official yet.
The rumoured LG G4 Pro may even launch with Android M depending on when it arrives, though if not that will likely get updated quite quickly.
HTC Phones To Get Android M Update
HTC has had a great track record with getting software updates to their devices, and their HTC Advantage program has helped them a lot ensuring all their recent devices continue to get updates for at least two years. Now, a new leak about HTC devices to get Marshmallow update was made public courtesy of HTC leaker @LlabTooFeR, giving the list of 15 devices that could get the latest update.
Jeff Gordon, HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, has already confirmed on Twitter that Android M will be coming to the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus.

Motorola Phones To Get Android M Update
Google’s former mobile division, Motorola, has just announced the list of smartphones that will get the Android 6.0 update first. This includes the Moto X (2nd Gen, 3rd Gen Pure Edition, Style and Play), Moto G (2nd and 3rd Gen), DROID Turbo, Moto MAXX and Moto Turbo.

Asus Phones To Get Android M Update
Asus is another company that often isn’t particularly speedy with its updates. Asus has released many devices this year; we can certainly expect those devices to get a taste of Google’s new sugar candy flavoured OS.

Lenovo Phones To Get Android M Update

Huawei Phones To Get Android M Update
Huawei is expected to launch the new 2015 series Nexus phablet with Android M OS out-of-the-box later this year. The company that is now on the list of the world’s top 5 smartphone makers will try to bring the new Marshmallow OS to a large number of its devices.

OnePlus Phones To Get Android M Update
The recently released OnePlus 2 is most likely to get the update and it is expected to come via custom skin OxygenOS / HydrogenOS update. The earlier released OnePlus will also probably get the Android M update but only in 2016
Xiaomi Phones To Get Android M Update
The Chinese company recently unveiled the new MIUI 7 based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop and released this update to Mi4, Mi4i, Mi3, Redmi 2, 1S, first generation Redmi Note (3G & 4G).
Since Android M is released, Xiaomi might take two or three months to release this version, probably in the form of MIUI v8.0 to its devices in December.

Google Android One Series Phones To Get Android M Update
Android One series are an official affiliate of Google, so they will be one of the first smartphones to get the latest update. But this myth was busted last year because Google took almost three months to release the update to Android One series- Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream Uno and Karbonn Sparkle V in India. The good thing was that the company released the latest 5.1 Lollipop, directly skipping three incremental updates (5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.0.2).
But things are about to change as Google is making arrangements to ensure there is no delay this time. Two weeks ago, it released second generation Android One series Lava Pixel V1 in India, followed by Infinix Hot 2 launch a few days ago in Africa (Ghana, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Kenya and Morocco).

Elephone Devices To Get Android M Update
The Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed that Elephone P8000 will receive the Android M update in coming months.
