Asus has announced its latest flagship smartphone today as promised earlier. Dubbed as the Asus Zenfone 6 will be the successor of the Zenfone 5 which will be coming with no-notch LCD screen with 92 percent screen to body ratio. The selling point of the device is the flip camera that is made from Liquid Metal which is lighter and 4 times stronger than stainless steel. The device will be available in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver color options.
The device comes with a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass Protection with 6000 series aluminum frame. Well, talking about this flagship smartphone, it will be coming with a 6.46-inch ( pixels) Full HD+ NanoEdge IPS LCD 19.5:9 aspect ratio and measures 159.1 mm x 75.4 mm x 9.2 mm and weighs 190 grams. Out of the box, it comes with Android 9 Pie operating system with Zen UI 6 on top. It might also get further updates when available.
Under the hood, there is a 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC with 1 x 2.84GHz Kryo 485 + 3 x 2.42GHz Kryo 485 + 4x 1.80GHz Kryo 485 coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. There are a 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants which comes with 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage which can be extended further up to 1TB via microSD card slot. This dual SIM variant device will be sporting a 48MP flip camera with Dual LED Flash with 1/2-inch Sony IMX586 sensor that also has features like Laser AF. EIS.
There is also a secondary 13MP camera on the rear with a 125-degree ultra-wide lens. There is a fingerprint sensor on the device and also come with 5-magnet stereo speaker, Dual NXP TFA9874 smart amp and dual microphones. There is a 5000mAh battery on the device which comes with QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging technology but comes with an 18W charger in the box. There is a dedicated smart key on the handset which customizable and camera on the device can be used as both front and rear cameras with the help of the flip mechanism.
Well, the handset has been priced at 499 Euros (US$ 557) for the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage while the 128GB option with 6GB RAM will be available for 559 Euros (US$ 624). The top end 8GB RAM option with 256GB of storage is priced at 599 Euros (US$ 669) and it will be going for order in any countries in Europe from today and will ship from May 25th.
