Good news for all those who wanted to update their Swype beta version of 3.26 in the Android Market Place. This comes as a great respite for all those whose phones doesn’t come along with the Swype Keyboard. All you need to do is to visit the site of the Swype beta wherein you will need to register along with some details after which you will be given the status of the Official tester. And once you become the official tester, you will get all the latest updates from the Team Swype regarding the future releases as well as the updates. As shown in the below screen capture you need to enter the details like the Email address, Password and also you need to agree the terms and conditions after which you need to click on the “Submit” button.
Please note that just in case if you are on the smart phones on which the Swype comes pre installed then you will not be able to install this Swype beta keyboard in your phone. For all those whose phones are not powered with the Swype then you can easily make use of this new version of Swype which is dubbed as Swype Beta v3.26.
Please note that Android 1.6 as well as the WQVGA resolution is no longer supported. This version of Swype comes along with the Swype connect feature with which you can easily install the latest version of Swype along with the updates which you will receive on the go. Swype BETA is available for devices with WVGA, qHD, FWVGA, HVGA, QVGA, SVGA, WSVGA, and HD720 screen sizes.
Enhancements in Swype 3.26:
The language control option has been improved and now supports higher list of languages, from the Settings option you can easily switch between the languages which appear on the screen.
The screen layout has been changed completely so as to provide you the ease of typing to further fine tune your experience as the numbers are now across the top row and the symbol layer contains many symbols along with the several characters along with the button to switch between 2 pages of symbols. The languages supported are as shown below.
The settings have been re designed to make the Swype better as you can also become an advanced swype user. All you need to do is to just press the “Swype” icon to get into the Swype Settings window directly.
