Google announced the Pixel C tablet alongside the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones back in September. Now, the company has officially launched the premium Google Pixel C tablet and it is available for purchase via Google Store. The tablet is available in two storage variants 32GB/64GB and is priced at $499 (approx Rs. 33,000) and $599 (approx Rs. 39,500) respectively. Additionally, the company is also selling a magnetic ‘Pixel C Keyboard’ separately for $149 (roughly Rs. 9,900).
Coming to its specifications, the Pixel C features a 10.2-inch (2560×1800 pixels) with a pixel density of 308ppi. The device comes powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz coupled with 256-core Maxwell GPU. The tablet has 3GB of RAM and as earlier said it comes with 32GB/64GB of built-in storage.
On the camera front, the tablet sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS/A-GPS. It comes backed by a 34.2Wh battery that the company claims can last upto 10-12 days on a single charge.
The tablet sports an aluminium unibody design and also features a USB Type-C port for faster charging and data transmission. The Pixel C is the first Android tablet in the Google’s Pixel line-up, and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The dimensions of the tablet measure 242 x 179 x 7 mm and weighs around 517 grams. There is no word from the company on the availability of the Pixel C tablet in India, stay tuned for more updates.
