Huawei is soon going to officially announce the successor to the quad-core Ascend P6, and the Huawei Ascend P6S is going to come with an octa-core chipset, at the right time when the other competitors too are coming up with similar specs, for example, UMI X2S and Zopo’s new smartphone to be launched on 21st Nov. The P6S is going to have the in-house K3V2 processor which would be running with the octa-core processing systems.
This octa-core chipset by Huawei is said to include the integrated 3G and that would be optimized for the better battery life on 3G network browsing and calling. Apart from the chipset, no other details are provided by the company for now. Earlier to this, Samsung and Mediatek have launched their octa-core chipsets, with Samsung coming up with the Exynos 5 Octa chips which we saw in the Galaxy Note 3, while Mediatek had launched the MT6592 chipsets.
Huawei has not just been doing good in the hardware sector, but they are keeping up with the latest software too because they announced that the Android 4.4 KitKat update would be sent to the Huawei Ascend P6 in January, and the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean would be skipped because of this and that would be a great news to everyone who wanted to have the latest OS version in their new smartphone which was launched in June this year.
The Ascend P6 currently runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS along with the Emotion UI, and thus the Huawei Ascend P6S is expected to have the latest OS as well as a new version of the interface in it. The P6 has a 4.7-inch HD display, and the P6S is expected to be launched with the 1080p display under a 5-inch screen. But these are all the expectations, because Huawei hasn’t made anything clear about the other specifications and we would get to know about them as soon as the official announcement happens.
