From depth to flat, UI seems to be the next big thing when it comes to Android. It all started with the Apple to go flat and now Google too recently acknowledged that Flat is the new King with the new material design. So, in the latest Huawei is just seen upgrading its UI version to 3.0 and brings the much needed flavor of flatness in its design. By the screen captures which are mentioned below, we can clearly say that Huawei has done it pretty well and brings in the much needed freshness and flatness along with the subtle colors which are definitely pleasing.
If you see the bottom most navigation bar which contains the Back, Menu and the multi-tasking keys, these are in line with what Google has opted for in the latest Android L release for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.Now the glossy is gone and everything is flatter and more abstract can be seen. If you compare this new UI with the initial version of UI from Huawei, there’s a radical change and this change is truly refreshing as it totally improves the UI and UX part.
The icons which are being used too come with the curve and brings in the much casual approach rather than using sharp edged icons which are more of a formal type design. The dialer uses a clean white background while the toggle area comes with the options along with the geometrical shapes in the notification drop down menu. For reference, we have mentioned the bunch of screen captures which can be referred with.
Fonts too took a change and goes for a minor transition. All these new designs will be pushed in the upcoming update and also will be used in the upcoming smartphones of Ascend series. While the above screen captures are still in the development / testing phase, these designs may get some fine tweaking till the time they are released.
Do let us know your views on the above designs on Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 as we will be more than happy to hear from you in the comments section below.
