Procedure to Install Android Market Place on Blackberry Playbook:
- So, first up you need to install the latest Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 in your device.
- After updating the device, it’s now time to Root or Jailbreak Blackberry Playbook by following the corresponding instructions.
- Once, both of the above instructions are completed successfully, you now need to Download Google Applications which are basically the native Google applications which come along with all the Android phones.
- After this, you need to install and launch an android application which is packaged as .bar format so as to set up the Android system. A bunch of applications can be found at Playbook BARs which you can download and install the same in the Blackberry Playbook devices.
- Now, with the help of a tool similar to that of WinSCP for Windows, you need to log into your Playbook as root and then copy the System folder from the Google Apps which you downloaded in the previous step.
- Now with the help of terminal in your computer, you need to enter the below mentioned command so as to setup the Android app wizard.
mv /system/app/SetupWizard.apk /system/app/SetupWizard.apk.bak
- After this, you will have to kill the Android player with the script as,
cd /apps/sys.android.XXXX.ns/native/scripts
and run the command “./android-player-cmd.sh kill-android-core.sh”. Please note that “XXXX” which is quoted above is different for different devices.
- After this, you need to launch a launcher application and start up the Android Market Place or any of the Google Application and then it will prompt you to enter the Google Account credentials. After this you can even install the Google Talk Chat application and not only that as you have now got the power of Android Market Place on your Blackberry Playbook.
