Xiaomi India has launched the Mi4 smartphone in India for Rs 19,999. Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year, but wasn’t available in India until now. Notable specs of the Mi4 include a 5-inch IPS display with Corning OGS Glass, and a 3080 mAh quick charging battery. The Mi4 is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processorm,3GB RAM and has 16 GB of flash storage.
Following is the detailed guide to Install Stock Android 5.0.2 on Xiaomi Mi4. This custom ROM has been developed by XDA Developer @Ivan.The ROM is based on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS but it is not a final version. It supports English language and seems pretty stable. You will get play store and all the google apps pre-installed as the ROM comes GAPPS.

PRE-REQUISITES:
- Do NOT flash this ROM on devices other than the Xiaomi Mi4.
- Before getting on with the flashing, you need a custom recovery like CMW or TWRP to install the ROM. If you’ve not yet installed a custom recovery on your Xiaomi Mi4 before, follow the Steps to install CWM Recovery on Xiaomi Mi4 device.
- Your smartphone should be ROOTED to flash custom RAM. If you’ve not yet rooted your Xiaomi Mi4 device before, follow the Steps to root the Xiaomi Mi4 Smartphone without voiding Warranty.
- Ensure the device has at least 70% battery charge to prevent unexpected device shutdown (due to battery drain) while installing the ROM
- Backup your Device : Back up important data and stuff
- Download and transfer Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ROM on your phone’s internal memory.
- Then reboot the device into recovery mode as follows:
1. Power OFF the device and wait until it is completely shutdown.
2. Now press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together until the device enters the recovery mode. - After entering in the recovery mode, clear the phone memory, by choosing ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option.
- Now, clear the cache memory by selecting “wipe cache partition.”
- Now, go back to the ClockworkMod recovery, and select “advanced” and tap on “wipe Dalvik cache”
- Again come back to main recovery screen and then tap on “install zip” and then “choose zip from sdcard” and then select “ 0/”. Now, locate and select the Android 5.0.2 ROM .zip file in SD card to start the installation process.
- Once done with the installation process, navigate to ‘+++++Go Back+++++’ and re-start the device by opting “reboot system now” seen in the recovery menu.
