The domestic smartphone manufacturer, Lava has been aggressively launching many budget-friendly smartphones in the last couple of months to compete in the overcrowded smartphone market. Today, the brand has launched yet another low-cost 4G-LTE enabled smartphone called as Lava A71 4G in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 6,499 and is currently available for sale via online stores. The device comes with decent specifications and will also be available for purchase via offline stores across the country in coming days.
Talking about the specifications, the Lava A71 features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes equipped with unspecified 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with Mali 400 GPU. We can expect it to come powered by MediaTek MT6582 chipset. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI laid on top.
The smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 32GB. On the camera front, the device sports a 5MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 2MP fixed focus front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. Interestingly, the front camera also features LED flash to capture crisp images in any lighting conditions.
The device comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. The handset packs a 2500mAh battery that is rated to last easily for an entire day considering the entry-level specifications of the device. The Lava A71 will be a fierce competitor for the likes of recently launched Infocus Bingo 21, Intex Cloud 4G Smart & Phicomm Energy 670 that comes with even better specifications at the same price tag.
A quick recall, Lava has recently launched a new low-end smartphone called as Lava X3 in India priced at Rs. 6,499 and is available for purchase via Flipkart, Amazon and other retailers across the country. The smartphone features 5-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6582 quad-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter, 2500mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
