Earlier this month, Lenovo launched the impressive Lenovo Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India priced at Rs. 11,999. Recently, a new smartphone from the brand with model number Lenovo K52t38 passed through TENAA certification and was supposed to be called as Lenovo K5 Note. Today, the company has officially launched the successor the K4 Note dubbed as Lenovo K5 Note smartphone in China. The smartphone comes with few upgrades over its predecessor and is also priced aggressively at 1,099 Yuan (approx $167/Rs. 11,320).
The smartphone sports an all-metal unibody design and it mostly resembles the design of the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone. Talking about the specifications, the K5 Note flaunts a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top of it. Under the hood, it comes equipped with MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz when compared to Lenovo K4 Note that comes powered by Mediatek MT6753 octa-core SoC.
The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF for faster focus, f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP front snapper to capture perfect selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port.
The handset powers a 3500mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The device also features a fingerprint sensor placed on the back for enhanced security and is also equipped with Dolby Atmos technology for the quality sound experience. The dimension of the smartphone measure 152 x 75.7 x 8.49 mm and comes in Silver and Gold color variants. The Lenovo K5 Note will be a good competitor for the likes of Redmi Note 3, Meizu Metal and LeEco Le 1s smartphones that are available at the similar price tag in China. To recap, Lenovo has recently launched a low-end smartphone called as Lenovo Lemon 3 in China with decent specifications and is also priced aggressively at 699 Yuan (approx $107). The Lemon 3 features 5-inch full-HD display, 64-bit Snapdragon 616 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, 13MP main camera, 5MP front snapper, 4G-LTE connectivity, 2750mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
