Lenovo has launched many devices in the last couple of months and also been successful as far as the sales are concerned because of the aggressive pricing strategy. Lenovo India has recently teased an image confirming that it will unveil a new smartphone at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona that is few days away. Looking at the picture, we can depict that the brand is all set to launch the global variant of the Lenovo Lemon 3 that was launched in China last month. The smartphone will be released in all the major markets but with a different name.
Talking about the Lenovo Lemon 3, it features a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 441ppi and Gorilla Glass laid on top for protection. Under the hood, it comes powered by Snapdragon 616 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 128GB.
The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset backs a 2750mAh battery that is rated to last easily for an entire day on single charge. The smartphone features an all-metal unibody design and also sports dual stereo speakers with Dolby Audio technology for enhanced sound experience. The Lemon 3 is priced at $107 in China, and we can expect Lenovo to follow aggressive pricing strategy for other markets as well. Stay tuned for official details at the upcoming MWC 2016 event.
