Design
With respect to design, LG G2 mini is obviously compact and handy which can be pretty much handled with a single hand and comes with the 2.6 inches of width and 5.1 inches tall. Along with the 4.7 inches of screen size, it seems like the meaning of “mini” is getting bigger and bigger. Along with the display resolution of 960 x 540p, this screen of G2 mini also comes with 234PPI. Unfortunately, the design of LG G2 mini doesn’t come with that premium feel as all thanks to the plastic which makes this device much glossy. Just like other high-end devices from LG Electronics, this device too comes with the volume rockers at the back along with the button.
The best part is that it comes with a very slim bezel along with the compact feel. LG has come up with this smartphone in 4 different colors which are black, white, red and gold, but LG has said that the color availability will depend upon the region.

In terms of hardware, this device comes with 2.26GHz of Quad Core processor along with the Snapdragon 800 processor and also comes with the 1.7Ghz of NVIDIA’s Quad core processor of Tegra 4i inside. Along with 1GB of RAM, this device comes with 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB. Compared to LG G2, this device comes with 1GB RAM against 2GB RAM of LG G2. This device also comes with the battery life of 2440mAH which is a removable battery. Battery seems like a good one which will last for around 9 -10 hours for the normal usage. This device almost looks like Moto G Android smartphone.
1.3MP of front facing camera might just be Okish but not awesome for sure as most of the competitors are offering more than 5MP of camera shooter at the front. In terms of rear facing camera, this device comes with 8MP of rear facing camera along with the LED Flash. Running on Kitkat 4.4 android OS, this device will also be coming with the 4G LTE support in selected countries. Only the 4G LTE variants will be coming with the NFC capability. Countries which won’t receive the 4G LTE models will be coming with the 3G Dual SIM capability.
Storage is very low compared to the similar devices in its class as it only offers 8GB of in built memory, but all thanks to the external SD card slot which will help you increase the memory. In terms of applications, this device also comes with the Knock code which is an interesting variation wherein if you double tap on the screen to wake the same. There is no need for you to reach out to the power button for waking up the screen. No doubt, these companies are making us lazier and lazier.
