Hamburger menu is generally referred as the menu standard for Android, but now it seems like Google is heading towards new design strategy. Google’s YouTube app will soon have the design which won’t have hamburger menu and instead will have the icons which will be shown at the top.
If this is the new design, then it’s almost the same as that of Apple, the only difference being, menu options are present at the bottom in Google’s YouTube, while Apple houses them at below portion of the app.
The interface of new YouTube comes with the 4 options at the top which are Home, trending, Subscriptions and Your Profile and is spread across the top. This will be the major design change for YouTube after the material design as the current app of YouTube comes with a whopping 17 options in the left drawer.
When tapped on Subscriptions tap, the feeds are arranged horizontally in roundel designs at the top along with the icons which indicates if there is any new content in that particular channel.
As of now there is no APK of the above design, but of this is the new design then it will be one of the major updates to the YouTube. Just recently, the splash screen of YouTube was denoted by the Google logo which was never there before.
