Nexus devices will not get pixel smartphone features with Android 7.1 Nougat update

If you are a Nexus user, then this news can disappoint you. Google already announced that most of the Nexus smartphone will be the first to receive the latest Android Nougat update. And Nexus devices will get the update as soon Google rolls it out. Recently Google announced two new smartphones Pixel running Android Nougat out of the box. At an event, Google also showcased so many features of new Pixel smartphones with Nougat running on them. But a new report claims that Nexus devices will not get these features with Nougat update.

Android 7.1 Nougat

The new Pixel smartphones running on latest Android version Nougat looks far better than Nougat update. Both devices come with the better integration of Google Assistant, Pixel launcher, unlimited storage for images & videos, Pixel camera app, 24-hour hotline phone support from Google, screen share and other features. And Yes, these will not be available on Nexus smartphones after the latest Nougat update.

And one of the biggest features that will not be coming to Nexus devices is Daydream View. Although Google Assistant, launcher and other features you can download from Google play store or somewhere else, but they won’t work like they work on Pixel smartphones.

We have already told you the features of latest Nougat update on Nexus devices. The update will be rolled out by the end of this month and will be available on your Nexus devices as per your region. This one will be a developer preview.

Talking about the features of Nougat update on Nexus devices, there will be more than 250 major features including multi-window, quick switch, expanded emoji and quick setting control. The new update will be downloaded and installed in the background. Apps will also be optimised for the device in the background according to the new version. Plus with the new update, the direct boot will let the smartphones start faster than before. So don’t be disappointed, without Pixel smartphones features, Nexus devices still will get plenty of features.
