Oppo launched the selfie expert Oppo F1 smartphone in India back in January priced at Rs. 15,990 and at the same event it also announced that Oppo F1 Plus will be unveiled in April. Now, the company has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone in India and also sent out the media invites with the hashtag “Selfie Expert+” for an event scheduled for April 5th. We can expect Oppo to release the awaited Oppo F1 Plus smartphone in India. As per PhoneRadar, the recently launched Oppo R9 will be renamed as Oppo F1 Plus in India.
Coming to the specifications part, the Oppo F1 Plus will feature a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-HD 2.5D curved display with 401ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz clubbed with Mali-T860 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 64GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 3.0 overlaid, and there is no information about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. On the camera section, the smartphone sports a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, 4K video recording support and a 16MP selfie snapper with a screen flash for stunning selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port.
The Oppo F1 Plus comes with an all-metal unibody design with narrow bezels that measure just 1.66 mm. The smartphone also includes a physical home button that double’s up as fingerprint sensor that can unlock in just 0.2 seconds. The handset comes backed by a 2850mAh battery with VOOC fast charging technology. The smartphone was announced at Rs. 26,990 and will come in Gold and Rose Gold color options.
