Earlier, we exclusively reported about Oppo announced its new F-series that will feature smartphones with more focus on design and camera experience. Today, the company has officially launched its first selfie-centric smartphone under the new F-series called as Oppo F1 in Vietnam. The device features sturdy build with impressive specifications and is available for pre-orders online at 6,490,000 Vietnamese Dong (approx $288) and shipping starts from January 21.
Talking about the specifications, the Oppo F1 flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) IPS HD display with 294ppi as pixel density, 2.5D arc glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection laid over top of it. Under the hood, it packs Snapdragon 616 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone features hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with F/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture, Beautify 3.0 and flash screen to capture perfect selfies even in low-light conditions. The device comes with 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB with the provided microSD card support. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 2.1 out of the box.
The smartphone sports premium looks with all-metal unibody design and is also very slim measuring just 7.25 mm at its thickest and weighing around 134 grams. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset comes backed by a 2500mAh battery that has the energy to last for an entire day on mixed usage.
