The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Oppo has recently launched a new mid-range smartphone called as Oppo Mirror 5 Lite in Thailand. The new smartphone is the smaller variant of the Oppo Mirror 5 that launched in August last year. The Oppo Mirror 5 Lite looks exactly similar to the Oppo Neo 7 that was released in India back in October 2015, but it sports slightly different specifications. The smartphone is currently listed on the Oppo Thailand website and is priced at THB 5,990 (approx $168).
Coming to the specifications part, the Oppo Mirror 5 Lite flaunts a 5-inch (960×540 pixels) qHD TFT display with 220ppi as pixel density similar to earlier launched Oppo Neo 7. Under the hood, it packs MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-400 MP2 GPU when compared to Oppo Neo 7 that comes powered by Snapdragon 410 SoC. It comes with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion.
On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter with a f/2.4 aperture for video calling and selfie lovers. The device supports dual sim dual standby and includes basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port with OTG functionality. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 2.1 laid on top out of the box. The only drawback of the smartphone is it lacks the 4G-LTE support that is offered by most of the handsets these days.
The smartphone sports beautiful design with mirror like finish at the back and feels rich in hand with a metallic frame on its sides. The handset powers a 2420mAh battery that the company claims can easily last for an entire day considering the low-end specifications. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm weighs around 141 grams and comes in Black and White color variants.
