Xiaomi India has launched the Mi4 smartphone in India for Rs 19,999. Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year, but wasn’t available in India until now. The company, which entered the Indian market last year, has launched three devices here so far — Redmi 1S, Redmi Note and Mi3 — in partnership with e-commerce major Flipkart. Last week, Xiaomi had launched its flagship smartphones, the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, at an event in Beijing.
Recently, we shared a guide on “How to Install Stock Android 5.0.2 on Xiaomi Mi4”. If you have flashed this or any other custom ROM and want to flash back the original MIUI, or, in other words, stock ROM on your device, our tutorial below should help you.
Flashing back the stock ROM will help you resolve any issues that you might be facing with your current ROM.
PRE-REQUISITES:
STEPS TO INSTALL ORIGINAL MIUI ROM ON XIAOMI MI4 SAMRTPHONE:
- Download and transfer the Stable MIUI ROM on your phone’s memory.
- Then reboot the device into Custom Recovery as follows:
1. Power OFF the device and wait until it is completely shutdown.
2. Now press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together until the device enters the recovery mode. - After entering in the recovery mode, clear the phone memory, by choosing ‘wipe data/factory reset’ option.
- Now, clear the cache memory by selecting “wipe cache partition.”
- Now, go back to the ClockworkMod recovery and select “advanced” and tap on “wipe Dalvik cache.”
- Again come back to main recovery screen and then tap on “Install zip” and then “choose zip from sd card” and then select “ /0”. Now, locate and select the MIUI ROM.zip file in SD card to start the installation process.
- Once done with the installation process, navigate to ‘+++++Go Back+++++’ and re-start the device by opting “reboot system now” seen in the recovery menu
