Pre Root Instructions:
- First and foremost, you will be losing the warranty as soon as you root the phone, so you will have to ensure that you are proceeding knowing the same.
- In the process of rooting, there is a probability that you may lose all the data which is present in your phone but the ones which is present in your SD card may not be affected. So, its recommended to pull out the external SD Card if any before rooting and once the rooting is done then you can insert the card again.
- You can either move your data in your SD Card or else can follow the below links so as to create and restore the important components in your phone like Contacts, Messages and other data.
- There is no way to backup applications as the only way comes is after you root the device, so if apps are lost then you need to download and install the apps again. All your photos, videos and music can be shifted to SD Card.
- Ensure that your phone is charged more than 95% so as to avoid the battery calibration effort in the later stage which we will see in the coming days on how this is done on your Android phones which are rooted. If you proceed for the further steps without this battery limit then you may experience lesser battery backup.
- Since the process of rooting will be taking place, all the APN settings with which you access the Internet will be wiped off completely, so ensure that you have noted all the required settings for accessing the internet so that you can configure them again back once the device gets rooted.
- Don’t proceed to the rooting process if you have not updated your phone’s firmware to XXKPE as this may create un necessary force close errors in the phone which would require you to completely wipe the device which is bit of a tedious and unwanted process.
