Enhancements in DDKQ5:
- To start with, this version of firmware comes along with the enhancement in the visual appeal as just in case if you are moving from the native Froyo firmware then you will see that while the Froyo is more of a blue child when it comes to the overall interface, this Gingerbread 2.3.4 edition comes along with the green colored theme.
- Apart from the visual appeal, now you will be able to move almost all the applications directly to the SD Card which some of the apps were not able to be moved in the Froyo version. Though still some apps still can’t be moved to the SD card due to developer’s settings which are located in the Application.
- One always cribbed about the lower battery life in all the recent versions of Gingerbread beta releases, but not anymore as this version of Gingerbread comes along with the enhanced battery life which is still we feel less than expectations but yes, it’s definitely better than earlier versions of firmware. We can only hope that this will be worked upon in the coming versions of firmware for Galaxy Ace.
- This update also allows for better overall Copy Paste functionality which is really a very great work done by Samsung.
- Though, still most of the users are still yet to experience the next generation look of an all new interface of the Android Market Place, you can now easily update Android Market Place with the latest edition which is really very visually appealing.
- Android Market Place now works well even with the slower data connections and works brilliantly on the Wi Fi or on high speed 3G connections and also this new Market Place comes along with an option of whether you wish to receive the interest based Ads or not which again is the best part.
- Still the Samsung Apps application is not updated, so you will have to update the same manually by opening the application as it will prompt you to updater with the same.
