Samsung recently launched a smaller variant of the Galaxy J1 called as Samsung Galaxy J1 Nxt in Bangladesh priced at $88. Today, a new variant of the Galaxy J1 called as Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini has been listed on the company’s official Philippines website without mentioning the pricing and availability details. The smartphone is exactly similar to the recently launched Galaxy J1 Nxt with the only difference being the RAM option. The device comes with all the necessary specifications required and will be targeted towards the low-category users.
Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy J1 Mini features a 4-inch (800×480 pixels) WVGA TFT display and offers a pixel density of 233ppi and under the hood, it comes equipped with the unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The device comes with 750MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot upto 128GB while the Galaxy J1 Nxt has 1GB of RAM. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone comes with essential connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera with CMOS sensor without LED flash and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera. The handset powers a 1500mAh battery that the company claims is rated to deliver upto 8 hours of talk time and 29 hours of audio playback time. The dimensions of the device measure 126.6 x 63.1 x 10.8 mm weighs around 123 grams and comes in White, Black and Gold color variants.
