Samsung has recently announced that it will launch the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge flagship smartphones on Feb 21 at MWC 2016 event to be held in Barcelona. Earlier, we exclusively spoke about Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) with Snapdragon 615 SoC spotted on GFXBench listing. Today, a new variant of the Galaxy J7 (2016) has been surfaced on GFXBench but with entirely different specifications. The smartphone comes with model number SM-J710X and is the successor of Galaxy J7 that launched last year.
As per the GFXBench listing, the new Galaxy S7 2016 (SM-J710x) features a similar 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display offering a pixel density 267ppi. The device will come powered by unspecified 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with ARM Mali-T830 GPU and 2GB of RAM. We can expect the smartphone to pack all new Exynos 7870 SoC. The smartphone will support dual sim dual standby and is expected to run on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
The smartphone has 16GB of onboard storage and will also include a microSD card slot for further expansion. On the camera front, the device will sport a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers.Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and microUSB 2.0 port. Apart from this, no other information about the device is revealed. Although the company has not confirmed any details, we advise you to take this with a pinch of salt. To recap, the earlier spotted Galaxy J7 (2016) features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP primary camera, 5MP front shooter, 4G-LTE support, NFC and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
