Procedure to Update Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE with ICS Android 4.0:
- Download the ICS Firmware package & Google Apps from here to your computer. Once you have downloaded in your computer, you need to connect your phone to the computer using the original USB cable and copy this downloaded zip package in your computer to enter it into the recovery mode.
- After this you need to Root Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE if it’s not rooted. After this also, you need to install the Super user in your tab.
- Now, remove the connected USB cable and enable the USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” after which turn off your phone.
- Boot the device in the Clock Work Recovery and flash the ICS Zip file which you have placed in the device after which you need to flash the Google Apps Zip package.
- Once you select the file, the process of firmware update will be started and it will take up to 5 minutes to finish the update. Once the update is applied, you need to select “clear cache” from the recovery mode itself so as to clear off the cache data.
- After this from the recovery mode, you need to select“++++ Go Back ++++” > “reboot system now” to reboot the phone. Please note that it will take more than normal time
