After the recent announcement and rough timeline on by when the Ice Cream Sandwich will be launched, it’s now time for a make shift update till ICS arrives for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 powered by Verizon. In this all new update, it’s said to have many improvements which we will see in the due course of this article. This update hasn’t been rolled out and will soon be rolling out. As of now we don’t have exact dates on by when it will be rolling out but we will check out on what are the improvements and enhancements it will rope in along with the procedure on how to get this update. This update is not a major update but is a minor update. This update is dubbed as I905.EL01
Improvements & Enhancements in I905.EL01 Update:
Mini Apps Tray:
Samsung ropes in the much quicker way to access all your essential applications with efficient multitasking. This tray provides the access to 6 applications which you can launch it from anywhere. Also, the apps overlay over current activity so you have instant access.
Social Hub Flex Widget:
An all new social hub widget will allow you to socialize right from your home screen.
Quick Panel:
With quick panel, you can get one step access to all your common device Settings which will allow you to adjust settings such as Wi-Fi, notifications, GPS and sound from one widget.
Photo Library
This all new update also ropes in the photo library which includes enhanced editing features such as resizing, color adjustment and filter effects.
The Daily
First daily news, entertainment and sports publication created and designed exclusively for tablets provides uninterrupted access to the best of the print, web and broadcast news from around the World in a unique interactive format.
There are additional enhancements too which are loaded in this which are mentioned below;
- Fixed issue that caused email to stay bold (reflecting an unread email) even though the user has read the email.
- Google Security Patches have been applied.
- TouchWiz user interface has been updated.
Wi-Fi Enhanced Connectivity- DivX
- BT 3.0 support has been added
